  1. Many great Greek intellects, including Thales, Hippocrates, Pythagoras, Socrates and Plato, studied and learned from Kemetic (Egyptian) thought. Although the Kemites' contribution to modern science and mathematics is well documented, the Kemites get very little credit from many historians. One has to wonder if other cultures' contributions are also being ignored. Gloria Dickenson, a professor of African-American Studies at The College of New Jersey, set forth the following theory: "During the 19th century, many European writers, limited by ethnocentrism and racism, decided that black Africa could have had nothing to do with Europe's rise to greatness." In other words, the Kemites' contribution to science and philosophy may have been deliberately ignored in many history books.
