Although there are many professionals who work in the field, most archaeologists are probably not quite what you'd picture if your only experience with archaeology comes from watching Indiana Jones movies. There are many different types of archaeologists. Some focus on prehistoric archaeology, while others go for historical archaeology. Still more specialize in fields such as underwater archaeology, industrial archaeology, ethnoarchaeology, biblical archaeology, urban archaeology, forensic archaeology or bioarchaeology.
