  1. Oils are good for drawing moisture away from an area, so proper use of essential oils can help treat your baby’s diaper rash. Essential oils that are said to work well are chamomile, lavender, sandalwood and tea tree. One option is to mix a few drops in with a simple cornstarch to make your own baby powder. You can create baby oil by mixing:

    • 6 drops of lavender oil
    • 2 drops of chamomile oil
    • 2 ounces of vegetable oil

    You should use either the powder or oil after every diaper change, and as often as needed. The baby oil also is good as an all-over massage oil for your baby.
