Sandy Smolan Film Director
Yeah, for years, I didn't want the label of a TV director. I thought that I would be selling my soul. And I think that I learned one thing after being here now for nearly 25 years -- embrace whatever you do. You never know where it will lead to. You never know who you'll meet or what experience you will have that will lead to something else. And I think, for a long time, I put labels on things. And I said "Oh, I can't do that. Or I shouldn't do that." And as I grow older and mature slightly and gain a little bit of wisdom, I think the lesson is embrace experience, embrace what you do. Because you never know what it will lead to.
