How does the military utilize "flying robots"?

  1. Flying robots, also known as UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) or drones, look like model airplanes and are used mostly for reconnaissance. They assist military commanders in monitoring their own troops and provide information on enemy troop locations, enemy troop movement and weather. When fitted with missiles, they can take out enemy weaponry.
