  1. Imagine sitting down to watch family movies from your childhood and hearing a strange, ghost-like voice from the attic that nobody can place. It sounds like electronic voice phenomena (EVP), or the recordings of otherworldly voices onto tape or any other type of recording medium. A more contemporary term for EVP is instrumental transcommunication. Paranormal investigators who record these noises (or voices) claim they come from the spirits of dead men, women and children who are trying to communicate with us by using their energy to manipulate sound into a form we can understand. The voices generally are impossible to hear without the recording, and even those that are recorded often are indecipherable. Investigators record the paranormal voices by simply placing the recording instrument in the room for a length of time or by staying in the room and asking the spirit questions.
