  1. To make homemade play dough that's also tasty, use peanut butter, corn syrup, powdered milk and powdered sugar. The oil in the peanut butter acts as a lubricant making the final mixture very oily, although not sticky. The oily texture won't exactly ensure hours of playtime for children, but it will ensure plenty of eating. You'll get more mileage out of it as a dessert than as a molding substance. Another disadvantage of peanut butter dough is that it must be refrigerated, and color can't be added since it's naturally brown.
