Any camera will do, but more and more paparazzi use digital cameras, which have no film costs and make the transfer of photos easier and safer. The standard paparazzi camera needs to have good zoom capacity, and there's a preference for small and easily hidden cameras. Phones that can take photos are also good, since they're not immediately recognizable as cameras, which means they may be allowed where cameras are not. Some paparazzi also use small wireless video cameras that can be worn on the body or hidden where a celebrity is going to be. These have wide-angle lenses, a big range, can work off batteries for hours and can broadcast their footage.
