  1. People who are off the grid are wise to consider the effects of thermal siphoning to remove summer heat from their homes without energy consumption. Thermal siphoning is simply getting rid of that heat by controlling air flow in the house. If you open the lower windows of a house on its breezy side and the upper windows on the opposite side, you will create a vacuum that removes the hot air.
