  1. The list is a long one. It includes the FBI, the CIA, the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, the Department of the Treasury and the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). The Office of the Director for National Intelligence oversees many of these operations, and the NCTC's job is to coordinate all the information gathered by various agencies and organize it in a comprehensive database.
