  1. Implicit memories, also known as unconscious or non-declarative, are memories that are not part of our waking consciousness. There are two types of implicit memories: procedural and semantic. Procedural includes things like knowing how to ride a bicycle. Semantic memories are abstract, like when a friend mentions getting a dog and you have abstract ideas about what a dog looks like and sounds like, but you don't recall a specific canine.
