  1. The climate of grassland depends on the location. Since grasslands can be in tropical areas or located in the middle latitudes, their climates can vary. Most grasslands have wet and dry seasons. Annual rainfall varies from negligible in the middle latitudes to up to 60 inches (1,520 mm) in tropical areas. Temperatures in the middle latitudes vary greatly. In the tropics, the temperatures tend to be consistently high.
