  1. The (Re)Drive is an innovative external hard drive for your computer made by SimpleTech. It's environmentally friendly in several ways:

    • The (Re)Drive is sold with almost no packaging.
    • The instruction manual is printed on the inside of the box, which is made of recycled materials. This eliminates a manual that would likely be thrown away later.
    • A significant portion of the hard drive's case is made of bamboo, which is an easy-to-grow and abundant grass. Also, the bamboo contains no added chemicals and is grown near the hard drive's manufacturing facility.
    • The drive uses less electricity than other drives. It's low-powered, has an Energy Star Level 4 power adapter and uses no fan.
